How much have we got in the TME Petty Cash box?

We might need to send Jon to New Zealand to check out the New Stonehenge.

Stonehenge Aotearoa

It's promised to be a faithful reproduction, to teach astronomy and astrophysics.

And another new Stonehenge for Jon to check? This one's closer, in Cardigan.

Thanks Boreades

That's Robin heath's baby isn't it? Unfortunately too much work on at the moment to be able to spend any time looking at neolithic monuments: Personally I doubt that you would find a proto-Stonehenge in that particular location, but I guess it depends what he means by the phrase.

The RILKO talk went well.

Cheers

Oh, the outrage!

Stonehenge was the work of cowboy builders, historian claims

I'd like to see them try and get planning permission to fix it though. English Heritage will insist on it being kept the way it is.

Great fun this article. Though if this is what they come up with, it makes me wonder what the point of studying history is.

My guess is to fill History courses with enough students to keep History teachers in a well-paid job at our expense(?)

Another all-expenses not paid trip for Jon?

At Rechnitz in Burgenland, Austria, another "Stonehenge" has been discovered.

From a quick & rough comparision, it seems to be on a similar longitude to Carnac.

Would be nice to do this sort of thing if you had spare cash.

Patience! You'll get your fair share of the TME Team Christmas Bumper Bonus. If you are very good, there might be as much as a Half Crown in it for you. You do deserve a Whole Crown, but I can't find any.

There's a TME Trivia Challenge: why did we only have Half Crowns?

Come to think of it, somewhere in the high-security vaults of Chateau Boreades (at the back of the bike shed), we do have a Silver Half Crown (a family heirloom). Must be worth its weight in gold by now?
