Megalithic Lizards. Coming to a cinema screen near you. Cold, heartless and hairless, they feed from your fear. They can't hear you scream under water. Will we be safe? Bruce Willis and a beautiful blonde set out to save the planet. Will they succeed? Don't turn out the lights.

Could make a fortune there. BBC 3 ex scriptwriters will be begging for a chance to do the screenplay.

Excellent!

I was thinking along the lines of:
Megalithic Park (c) TME 2014

Image

Starring
Macausland as Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant, a leading paleontologist.
Hattie as Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, a paleobotanist.

Co-starring
Boreades as Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, a mathematician and chaos theorist.
Mick as Richard Attenborough as John Hammond, the endearingly-batty park's creator.

Plus the TME motley crew and usual suspects in supporting roles.
Like wearing red shirts and getting killed as soon as we beam down.

Breaking news: Situation vacant.

The Office of Lord Lyon King of Arms.

The Lyon Court regulates and has jurisdiction over matters relating to Scottish heraldry, which includes establishing and issuing Coats of Arms and maintaining the Public Register of All Arms and Bearings and the Public Register of Genealogies and Birthbrieves in Scotland. Lord Lyon is the sole King of Arms in Scotland and is specifically responsible for determining and granting new arms.

You too can dress up and award titles. Especially important for anyone wanting to re-establish a King or Queen of Scotland.

DNA testing may be required.

Yes, a share of the net points (after production costs and fees). Knowing how Mick likes to control the TME DVD distribution rights, we'll probably have to gross about $25M before that kicks in.

We could also set up the post and office of Lord Lyon of Megalithia.

Or even Lord Lizard of Megalithia.

Lizards rampant of course with emblazoned crossed sarsens perhaps.

That should be a nice little earner.

Maybe that mangy-looking Lion on Lord Lyon's frock is really a lizard anyway?
And why is the Guiness Harp logo on the frock as well?

Maybe it's corporate sponsors.

Here's a contender from North Korea I believe via the Grauniad website.

The English counterpart to Lord Lyon seems to be Lord Marshall. A historian popped up on TV saying he'd tracked down a lost manuscript, currently in an American library, describing the life of William Marshall, the founder of the Marshall role, that is apparently unique, in a class of its own, unprecedented. Just as the Magna Carta that Marshall & co. apparently drew up is unique, in a class etc etc. We weren't told who commissioned the Marshall life story or where it was found, but it all feels very stagey.

William was buried in Temple Church, which the presenter didn't comment on. According to Wiki the Marshall arms depict a red lion which looks pretty much the same as the critter on Lord Lyon's coat.

Yes, the manuscript certainly had all the marks of bogusness. However the sheer size of it (as compared to its financial value) would appear to rule out a modern forgery. If it was part of the Tudor In-House Doctoring Factory, then we must look for Marshall's role in either England's new found role of dominating Europe or influencing religious doctrine in a proto-Protestant direction.
